In the European context, Vienna wants to maintain its leading position in the field of energy and climate protection – in conjunction with a well-functioning economic and social basis – and is therefore committed to the 2050 goals of the EU. Vienna will play a leading role in the implementation of the objectives. The beginning of the activities of the City of Vienna is marked above all by the Smart City Wien project funded by the Climate and Energy Fund.
