With upcoming workshops taking place in Johannesburg, Oslo, Brussels, Singapore, Sydney and Chennai plus other events in December in the US, Canada, Brazil, Germany and UK, a uniquely informed global perspective on the key changes taking place over the next 10 years is now being co-created.

As announced previously, this is a Future Agenda led research program based on bringing informed people from across and around the health / patient data field together to challenge views and build on insights gained to date. All events are hosted by leading organizations keen to support this global dialogue and build a new informed global view of likely changes and their implications.

The first event took place on Wednesday and was hosted by Herman Miller in their wonderful Dubai Marina Design Showroom. With experts from government, hospitals, telecoms, medical devices, advisors, start-ups, research foundations and digital platforms all working together, key areas explored in depth including the impact of AI and machine learning on accuracy, the opportunities from getting closer to the patient, the implications from more individualized medicine and how the overlap between smart cities initiatives and digital healthcare may enable healthier mega-cities in the future. In addition, we discussed shifts emerging in data marketplaces; the role of regulators; the impact of data on mental health; and how employers and insurance organizations may use new information that is becoming available. This was an excellent, insightful event that has produced new views that are now being added into the mix ahead of the next workshop in Johannesburg taking place on the 10^th October.
